Work Inspiration: Do you believe the right people?

My kiddo wanted to make sure I knew he believed in me.

My daily calendar said "Believe the people who believe in you."

That hit.

How often do we let someone's narrative of who we are impact how we feel or engage? 

This isn't a sentiment that says ignore critical feedback, but if the source isn't someone you trust to be honest, clear, and kind, maybe those words don't belong on your heart.

In contrast, the people that believe in you are on a mission to build you up and helping you find your best self. Believe them.

I've been walking by this note from my kiddo every morning as I sit down at my desk for the day. I think it sums this sentiment up well. May this little bit of work inspiration brighten your day.
